THE BRIEF

Undergoing a major redevelopment, our project goal was to relaunch the iconic Watsons Bay Hotel brand.  Drawing inspiration from the venue’s rich history and beachside location we crafted a new concept and physical brand identity that retained the venue’s iconic charm while at the same time giving it a contemporary edge. They wanted to not only tap into the affluent Eastern suburbs crowd but also establish the venue as an iconic institution on a global scale.

  • OUR APPROACH

    The Brand identity we created tells the story of endless Summer where patrons enjoy blue harbour views by day, and ultimate sunsets come dusk.

    We took reference from the stunning seaside location to give it a fresh, relaxed, coastal feel. The brand retains the glory and grandeur of the majestic venue’s past while also positioning them as a contemporary and diverse world-class destination.

    RESULTS
    Since being rebranded and redeveloped the Watsons Bay Hotel brand has cemented its place as a Sydney institution and the hotel is now one the most recognised hospitality brands in Sydney and internationally. Watson’s Bay Hotel is typically first on the list for those showing off what Sydney has to offer to international guests… if you know Sydney, you know the Watto Bay!
